International Bank in NYC is seeking a Head of Human Resources to lead, manage and oversee the daily HR function.

Responsibilities:

  • Update, review, and recommend the enhancement of Human Resources policies and procedures for Executive Management approval
  • HR Head will be responsible for all on-boarding and off-boarding of employees
  • Identify, evaluate, and resolve employee relations issues
  • Recruit and identify talent acquisition needs of the bank
  • Successfully develop strong working relationships with all levels of employees
  • Ability to provide HR advice and guidance to managers on employee issues, and counsel employees in relation to conditions of employment
  • Successfully implement employee engagement initiatives to increase morale
  • HR Head will assist Management to prepare staff cost and headcount budget, and be responsible for monitoring the staff cost regularly
  • Develop and encourage training and development initiatives to address current capabilities and future training needs and management development
  • Ability to manage performance review process to ensure managers and employees align with the Bank’s objectives
  • Successfully work with Head Office HR Group to develop and implement competitive compensation and benefits strategies and structures which align with the Bank’s direction
  • Ensure compliance with employment related regulations, legislations and best practices issued by local authorities
  • HR Head will ensure efficient and timely processing of health insurance benefits, 401(k) retirement plan, leave administration, and other employee benefits.
  • HR Head will be responsible for succession planning, employee development, key employee retention, workflow efficiency and change management
  • Process semi-monthly payroll and review for accuracy
  • Manage administration function
  • Conduct new hire orientations and exit interviews for terminations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or related disciplines
  • Minimum 7-9 years Human Resources experience in talent acquisition/business partner role/people development functions
  • Familiar with federal and local employment related ordinances and regulations
  • Strong market awareness in the latest development of employment practices in the local banking industry
  • Bilingual English and Mandarin preferred
  • Salary $90,000-$120,000
