International Bank is seeking an AVP, Trader to join their Treasury Department in NYC in a newly created role. Requirements: 5 plus years of trading or liquidity management experience in the banking industry. This hire will execute treasury transactions, including money market, debt issuance, FX and derivatives as well as engage in liquidity management and asset-liability management.
Trader Responsibilities:
- Trader will monitor and project daily cash positions and execute money market transactions to ensure the funding mix and funding cost are in line with the bank’s strategies and liquidity and interest rate risks are within pre-set risk limits.
- Coordinate with the operations team to ensure smooth settlement of treasury transactions.
- Execute FX and derivative transactions to hedge the bank’s assets and liabilities.
- Perform analyses of the macro economy and financial markets and report on the bank’s cash flow, asset-liability structure, cost of funds for review by management.
- Develop business relationships with counterparties, broker-dealers and investors.
- Create and update policies and procedures.
- Perform various compliance-related tasks.
- Additional ad hoc tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Trader Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a business/finance-related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of trading or liquidity management experience in the banking industry.
- Strong VBA programing skills a plus.
- Proficiency in the Chinese language a plus.
- CFA, FRM or CTP certification a plus.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong negotiation skills and good understanding of market dynamics and trends.
Salary range: $75,000-$120,000 based on experience. Bonus eligible.
