Financial Technology firm in NYC is seeking an Information Security Officer to join their team. Requirements: Four plus years of Information Security or Cyber Security industry experience, and a Bachelors Degree.
Information Security Officer Responsibilities :
· Information Security Officer will work with Senior Management to develop and work on cybersecurity initiatives
· Responsible for supporting the information security agenda of the firm
· Information Security Officer will assist with the management of information security, working with the CSO
· Manage audits, interfacing with internal and external auditors
· Information Security Officer will manage security cases
· Drive business continuity and disaster recovery activities, coordinate disaster recovery exercises
· Review and develop policies, procedures, standards, other documents supporting information security
· Information Security Officer will perform quarterly security checks
· Successfully conduct regular network and application vulnerability scans and manage remediation of vulnerabilities
· Coordinate incident response and security monitoring
· Responsible for performing continuous security assessments for new and existing projects
· Successfully define security controls based on risk assessments
· Ability to administer security awareness training
· Information Security Officer will respond to client questionnaires
· Keep updated with threats, vulnerabilities, and attacks
· Participate in third-party risk management activities
· Manage additional Info security related projects
Information Security Officer Requirements:
· Four plus years of Information Security industry experience
· Bachelor’s Degree
· Experience and knowledge of information security concepts, standards and regulations.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Successfully manage projects, take ownership and achieve results
· Technical experience with information security, networks, security tools, modern application development, and web technologies.
· Security certifications or desire to obtain certifications are a plus: CISSP, CISM, CISA, ISO 27001 LA/LI, SANS.
