A growing consumer goods startup is seeking an Accountant to join their centrally located New York office team. This individual will ideally have three plus years of Accounting experience, to include accounts payable. There are opportunities for growth at this firm!
Accountant Responsibilities:
- Process Accounts Payable invoices for the firm
- Process payment proposals as needed
- Review invoices for proper account coding and accuracy
- Manage and administer the Company’s accounts receivable, inventory and order processing
- Successfully assist management with other invoice processing
- Raise concerns and questions to management of issues that arise
- Provide information and analytics on financial isues, as needed
- Handle Bank reconciliations
- Credit card administration for new staff
- Provide information and analytics regarding credit card issues
Accountant Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
- 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting, to include accounts payable
- Prior consumer products industry experience or working with mass retailers is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and driven
- Ability to work independently and in an entrepreneurial environment
- Proficient in MS Dynamics
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Advanced Excel and PowerPoint.
