Growing Consumer Goods firm is seeking a Supply Chain Planner to join their Manhattan office. Experience requirements: Three plus years of inventory planning experience, preferably in a cosmetics products or manufacturing company.
Supply Chain Planner Responsibilities
- Maintain inventory with contract manufacturers to mitigate back orders and avoid obsolescence
- Develop and manage purchase and production plans to support meeting customer service and financial goals.
- Identify, resolve and escalate supply chain risks including backorders and obsolescence, manufacturers’ performance and material and component shortages
- Plan categories and place purchase orders with contract manufacturers for cosmetics products
- Partner with contract manufacturers to ensure on-time delivery, purchase order accuracy and to resolve concerns and issues
- Actively communicate to ensure that inventory records are accurate, orders are shipped and delivered as planned, to resolve issues and concerns
- Support commercialization of new and reformulated products including building pipeline inventory and minimizing remnants
- Develop and manage Item Masters, BOMs, DRP relationships, and other planning parameters to ensure ERP system integrity
- Collaborate with sourcing to strive for assurance of supply
- Additional related duties, as required and assigned
Supply Chain Planner Requirements
- 3-5 plus years of inventory planning experience, preferably in a cosmetics products or manufacturing company
- Bachelor’s degree
- Advanced Excel skills are required
- Accurate and timely purchase orders
- Number of backorders
- Inventory at target
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and advanced Excel skills
- Ability to work effectively with contract manufacturers and all levels of management
- Ability to prioritize, handle multiple tasks simultaneously

- Proven ability to work with high degree of accuracy
