Global Software firm is seeking a SEC Reporting Manager to join their New York City team, in midtown Manhattan. This hire will be in charge of SEC Reporting, for this publicly traded firm. Requirements: 3-7 years of Accounting experience to include SEC Reporting experience, Bachelors in Accounting and experience working at a publicly traded firm.
Responsibilities:
- Technical Accounting experience
- SEC Reporting Manager will prepare a 10Q and a 10K
- Handle 8K reports and filing for the firm; Been a writer of 8K’s
- Experience with Technical Accounting Research
- Experience writing Whitepapers
- SEC Reporting Manager will interpret FASB
- SEC Reporting Manager will be in charge of the SEC Reporting for the firm quarterly
- Ongoing pronouncements
- International Cash Flow preparations, dealing with multi currency subsidiaries
- Experience with stock equity footnote
- Opportunity to get involved in projects related to Analysis and Revenue Recognition, outside of the quarterly SEC reporting filing
- Additional responsibilities as directed by the Controller
- Ability to work remote
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting
- Minimum 3-7 years of Accounting experience, to include SEC Reporting experience
- Experience working at a publicly Traded Firm is required
- Experience working at a Software, SAAS or Professional Services firm is preferred
- Knowledge or experience working for a Global Firm
- Some reporting experience in ASC606 revenue recognition policy, is a plus
- Netsuite or Certent software experience is a plus, not required
- MS Office Suite; Strong advanced excel
- Detail Orientated; excellent communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment
