International Bank in NYC is seeking a Credit Senior Manager – C&I Loans, to join in a newly created position reporting to the Head of Risk. 5-8 years of experience in Corporate (C&I) credit analysis and loan review are required.
Responsibilities:
- Successfully ensure credit application package is accurate and complete before submitting to head of risk department for credit decision. Due diligence includes but not limited to cross check supporting documents to verify information presented in credit application is accurate, check background and negative news of borrower/sponsor/guarantor/ultimate owner, review cash flow projections and stress test, and review inputs in credit rating and loan origination system.
- Ability to make sufficient market search or investigation, study third party reports, such as, industry report, rating report, interview industry experts, etc.
- Successfully evaluate credit proposals, analyze risk factors and mitigations, discuss with department head to draft credit risk opinions, and present risk opinions in Credit Committee meeting.
- Ability to manage loan closing to ensure all approval conditions are satisfied, risk issues brought up by closing lawyer are escalated for proper approval.
- Successfully monitor compliance with credit covenants and /or other provisions in loan documentation and pay attention to the early warning signals of credit accounts.
- Assist to enhance branch credit risk related policies and procedures.
- Ad hoc projects as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting or Risk Management preferred.
- Knowledge in corporate finance, loan structure, and loan work out.
- 5-8 years of working experience in corporate (C&I) credit analysis.
- 5 years of Loan review experience
- Bilingual Mandarin and English
- CFA or CPA preferred, but not required
Salary range $80,000-$130,000 based on experience
