Investment Management firm based in Manhattan is seeking a Client Services Associate to join their Client Services department. The Client Services Associate will have experience in the financial services or banking industry.
Responsibilities:
- Client Services Associate will be responsible for the mailing of contracts, gathering all account information necessary to open account and manage the portfolio, including client guidelines and any restrictions regarding the management of the account.
- Prepare detailed quarterly schedule two weeks before every quarter end to review any outstanding/ongoing violations and take corrective action.
- Point person for coding and monitoring restrictions and guidelines using software on an on-going, daily basis.
- Ongoing coordination of deposits and withdrawals to the account, interacting with both the institutional client, fund consultants and clients.
- Serve as main liaison between the customer and portfolio management team.
- Source for transactions-based reports from various requests: Realized Gains & Loss Schedules and Tax Information Schedules; Transaction ledgers; Auditor’s Requests; Client correspondence
- Tax Loss Harvesting (taxable portfolios, generally calendar year end)
- Completion of RFPs/RFIs (Requests for Proposals/Information) for new business development in coordination with the portfolio management team/marketing personnel
- Performance Reporting: Client Questionnaires; Requests for monthly returns and portfolio holdings; Performance attribution; Portfolio characteristics; Produce presentation books for client review meetings
- Lead coordinator of the firm’s published and GIPS verified composites. Responsibilities include:
- -Coding newly opened accounts, terminated accounts and clients that have changed their
investment mandate into their new respective composite based on the investment strategy
selected by the Client.
-Continual account testing to confirm that all managed accounts of the firm reside in at least
one (1) of the firm’s composites.
-Compiling information from various WRAP Sponsor programs that are not carried on our
internal portfolio accounting system, which includes computing the return of the WRAP
program based on return data provided by the WRAP Sponsor firm.
-Compile the firm’s AUM (assets under management) and AUA (assets under advisement), for
both internal and regulatory purposes.
-Work with the firm’s outside GIPS Verifier each semi-annual period in composite examination
and testing and to provide requested documentation that supports the portfolio’s inclusion
in specific composites.
-Compile and maintain all of the firm’s composite presentations, either computed quarterly
and semi-annually, including the accompanying Notes pages.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- General understanding of the finance industry
- 3-10 years of experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks
- Strong communication skills, including ability to answer phone/email client requests
- Ability to work quickly and accurately in high pressure settings
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Salary range: $60,000-100,000; based on experience.
